Bill and Deana Boggess have been serving in disability ministry for more than 20 years. They served as directors of a special needs ministry for 14 years and have been training churches since then. The purpose of their ministry is to support and serve the family affected by special needs and to inspire and encourage the local church to welcome, assimilate and nurture those affected by special needs into their church family.
In addition, Deana has been teaching children about children with special needs for the last eight years. She loves to travel to classrooms and answer children’s questions about disabilities and encourage them to be a supportive friend. She does this through education, experience, and exposure to disabilities.
In early 2018 Bill and Deana wrote a six hour course on, “Aging Parents and Loss.” The course covers subjects including sudden loss, the long goodbye of dementia, the typical aging process, grieving, difficult conversations, caregiving and financial issues to name a few. If you are interested in attending a course, contact Bill and Deana at firstname.lastname@example.org.
